Homing

A successful retirement is an important part of every greyhound's journey.

ARC Greyhounds proudly supports the rehoming of retired racing greyhounds, helping them transition from the track into loving family homes. Through partnerships with dedicated rehoming organisations and by promoting adoption opportunities across our venues and digital channels, we help raise awareness of the many benefits of owning a retired greyhound.

Known for their gentle, affectionate nature, retired greyhounds make wonderful companions, and we are committed to helping as many dogs as possible find their perfect forever home.

ARC Greyhounds works alongside a network of respected homing organisations across the UK, including branches of the Greyhound Trust and a number of independent greyhound welfare charities. Together, these organisations help retired racing greyhounds transition into loving homes, providing ongoing support and guidance to adopters while ensuring every dog has the opportunity to enjoy a happy retirement.

Welfare

At ARC Greyhounds, the welfare of our greyhounds is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care throughout a greyhound's racing career, ensuring every dog receives expert attention, appropriate exercise, veterinary support and a safe environment both on and off the track.

As licensed racing venues, our stadiums operate under the rules and regulations of the Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB), the sport's governing body, which sets and monitors welfare standards across British greyhound racing.

Working closely with trainers, owners, veterinarians, the GBGB and industry partners, we continually support initiatives that promote the health, wellbeing and long-term care of racing greyhounds, both during and after their racing careers.
